Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and CraftedPxl LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of the Rulomi Android app ("the app") and the operator of rulomiapp.com ("the site"). Questions go to info@craftedpxl.com.
What Rulomi is, and is not
Rulomi 0.1.0 is a functional first version. It turns a written instruction into a routine made of one trigger and up to eight actions, and executes those actions using standard Android APIs. Its planner is a deterministic parser that recognises a fixed set of English phrases. It is not a large language model, it does not understand arbitrary requests, and it does not attempt to guess. Instructions it cannot fully understand are rejected with an explanation and cannot be enabled.
The supported triggers and actions, and the things the app deliberately does not do, are listed on the capabilities section of the home page. Nothing in these terms or on the site promises features beyond that list.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own purposes, free of charge. You may not sell the app, charge for access to it, or distribute modified copies under the Rulomi name. You may not remove or alter the notices in the app or the site.
The app, the site, the Rulomi name, and the Rulomi mark are owned by CraftedPxl LLC. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. If the app's source code is published under a separate open-source licence, that licence governs the source code and takes precedence over this section for the code it covers.
You are responsible for your routines
The app does exactly what a routine says. When you enable a routine that changes Do Not Disturb, screen brightness, or media volume, or that posts a notification, you are instructing the app to make that change whenever the trigger fires, including at times when you may not want it. Before enabling a routine, read the review screen, which shows the trigger and each action the app understood.
In particular, you acknowledge that:
- Turning on Do Not Disturb can silence calls, alarms from other apps, and notifications you may need. You are responsible for deciding whether that is acceptable.
- Brightness changes turn off adaptive brightness. Volume changes affect the media stream, not the ringer.
- Pausing or deleting a routine stops future runs but does not undo changes already made. If you need a change reversed, create a routine that reverses it.
- If an action fails partway through a routine, the actions that already ran are not rolled back.
Execution is not guaranteed
Android decides when background work actually runs. Without the optional exact-alarm permission, scheduled routines may be delayed. Manufacturer battery management, force-stopping the app, and foreground-service restrictions can interrupt event monitoring. The app restores its schedules when it can, but we do not warrant that any routine will run at all, on time, or on every device. Do not rely on Rulomi for anything where a missed or late run would cause harm, such as medication reminders or safety-related alerts.
Sideloading and the debug build
The APK offered on the site is signed with a debug key and is installed outside an app store. Android will warn you about this and ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager. That is expected. You are responsible for verifying the file against the published SHA-256 checksum before installing it, and for only installing copies obtained from rulomiapp.com or a source you trust. We are not responsible for copies of the app obtained elsewhere, which may have been modified.
A future release-signed version, if published, will not install over the debug build. You would need to uninstall the debug build first, which removes its routines and history.
Your data
The app requests no internet permission and keeps all of its data on your device. How that works, and what this site does and does not collect, is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Feedback and test reports
If you send us a device test report, bug report, or suggestion, you grant us permission to use it to improve the app without any obligation to you. Do not include personal information about other people in a report.
No warranty
The app and the site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that it will work on your particular device or Android version, or that it will be maintained or updated. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CraftedPxl LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, missed alarms or notifications, silenced calls, changed device settings, or other loss arising from your use of or inability to use the app or the site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app or the site is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which is nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which removes its data from your device. We may stop distributing the app, or change or discontinue the site, at any time without notice. Sections on licence restrictions, warranty, and liability continue to apply after you stop using the app.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Changes apply to versions of the app distributed after that date. Continuing to use a newer version after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms, the app, or the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live that cannot be waived by agreement.
