Silence your phone during work hours
Rulomi has no location triggers yet, so this works by the clock rather than by arriving at work. Two routines do it: one to go quiet, and one to turn the ringer back on.
Type this
Every weekday at 9 am put my phone on silentThe second routine turns the ringer back on at 17:30. Type it as its own routine:
Every weekday at 5:30 pm set the ringer to normalRulomi's on-device parser understands this as written, so it works with the AI planner switched off.
What Rulomi builds
- WHEN
- Monday to Friday at 09:00
- THEN
- Set the ringer to silent
You see this on the review screen before you enable it, and nothing runs until you do.
Access it asks for
- Do Not Disturb access, which Android also requires for the ringer and the ring and notification volumes.
- Precise timing is optional. Without it Android may run the routine a few minutes late.
Rulomi asks for access per routine, when a routine needs it, not all at once when you install.
Variations
Every weekday at 9 am put my phone on vibrateVibrate instead of silent.
Every weekday at 9 am put my phone on vibrate, restore everything after 6 hoursOne routine instead of two, for days of up to six hours.
Good to know
- Android treats silent and vibrate as Do Not Disturb states, so the ringer needs Do Not Disturb access.
- Location is on the list of things Rulomi doesn't do yet, so there's no “when I get to work” yet.
