Change brightness and volume when you plug in your phone
Charging is a good moment to change a few settings, for example at your bedside. Rulomi runs the routine when charging starts, and can put everything back when you unplug.
Type this
When I plug in my phone set brightness to 40% and set media volume to 30% and put it back when I unplugRulomi's on-device parser understands this as written, so it works with the AI planner switched off.
What Rulomi builds
- WHEN
- Charging starts
- THEN
- Set the screen brightness to 40%
- Set the media volume to 30%
- AFTER
- When charging stops, brightness and media volume go back to what they were when it started.
You see this on the review screen before you enable it, and nothing runs until you do.
Access it asks for
- Modify system settings, for brightness, screen timeout and auto-rotate.
Rulomi asks for access per routine, when a routine needs it, not all at once when you install.
Variations
When I unplug my phone set brightness to 70%Runs when the charger is disconnected instead.
Every day at 11 pm set brightness to 10% only if charging and battery is above 50%A bedtime routine that only runs if the phone is on the charger with some battery to spare.
Good to know
- A routine fires when charging starts, not because the phone is already charging when you enable it.
- Setting the brightness turns off adaptive brightness.
- Routines that wait for an event keep a notification up while Rulomi is listening, with a Pause monitoring button.
