Have your phone read WhatsApp messages out loud
When you can't look at the screen, the phone can tell you what arrived. Rulomi reads a chosen app's notifications out with the phone's own text-to-speech voice.
Type this
When WhatsApp notifies me, read it outRulomi's on-device parser understands this as written, so it works with the AI planner switched off.
What Rulomi builds
- WHEN
- WhatsApp posts a notification. You confirm the app on the review screen
- THEN
- Speak the notification's text
You see this on the review screen before you enable it, and nothing runs until you do.
Access it asks for
- Notification access, so Rulomi can see the app's notifications. They're matched on the phone and nothing about them is sent anywhere.
Rulomi asks for access per routine, when a routine needs it, not all at once when you install.
Variations
When Gmail notifies me, read it out only if headphones are plugged inOnly reads out loud when wired or USB-C headphones are in.
Good to know
- A notification routine fires at most once a minute, and ignores ongoing notifications, group summaries and media controls.
- Notifications are compared with your routines on the phone. None of it goes to our server or to the AI planner, and Activity records only which app triggered a run, never what the notification said.
- Rulomi can't reply to a message or press a notification's buttons. That's left out on purpose.
